“God is Light” Iconography exhibition at the Orthodox Parish of Milan

On Tuesday, 18 June 2024, at the Greek Orthodox Parish of Milan, the inauguration of the first exhibition of the iconography of the Parish School took place, with the theme “God is Light”.

Archimandrite Fr. Ioannis Batsis, presented the theme of the exhibition and thanked the iconographer Mrs. Olga Anastasopoulou, and her students. Special thanks were given to the tireless architect Mrs. Diana Charalambous for curating the exhibition, to all the youth of the parish who worked on the organisational needs, to the ladies who prepared the buffet, and to all the participants who supported the work of the parish with their presence and contribution.

Afterwards, Mrs. Anastasopoulou spoke about the iconography classes and the students shared their experiences also. At the end, Mrs. Charalambous presented the exhibition and the book that was created with photographic material and a brief description of Byzantine art, the proceeds of which will be used for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the parish in 2025.
