Pilgrims from Patras and the Dodecanese Islands visit the Theological School of Halki

On Monday, 18 December 2023, the Holy Theological School of Halki was visited by a large group of pilgrims from Patras, who together with their Shepherd, Metropolitan Chrysostomos, visited Constantinople for the official canonisation service of Saint Gervasios. The pilgrims were received in the Great Synod Room of the Theological School by the Abbot of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, who welcomed them referring to the history of the Theological School, but also to the new Saint of our Church, Saint Gervasios. Afterwards, the visitors venerated the Chapel of the School, while they were guided around the classrooms and other areas.

The Theological School was also visited on Tuesday, 19 December 2023, by His Eminence Metropolitan Paisios of Leros, Kalymnos and Astypalea, who was accompanied by the Assistant Bishop, His Grace Bishop Stephanos of Stratonikeia, as well as clergy from his metropolis, the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Tharri in Rhodes, Archimandrite Nektarios, as well as many faithful from the Dodecanese Islands. His Eminence Metropolitan Paisios and his entourage were welcomed by the Abbot of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos at the Great Synod Room of the School, where they had a cordial meeting. Then, the visitors venerated the chapel of the Holy Trinity and were then guided to the historic Library, the old halls and other areas of the School, while, finally, they were farewelled by the Abbot.
