Message of condolence of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia at the passing of Stelios Tsiolas
The Holy Archdiocese of Australia expresses its deep sorrow for the sudden death of the music composer, Mr. Stelios Tsiolas, a pious child of the Church, a prominent member of the Greek Omogenia and a multifaceted charismatic person.
Mr. Tsiolas, throughout his earthly life, served the art of Music and more generally that of Culture, with zeal and dedication, bequeathing a rich legacy to Hellenism of the fifth continent.
Our local Church is humbled because this great man and artist had served, for many years, as a Music teacher at St. John’s College in Melbourne, while he is among the pioneers of the annual “Christmas Carols” organised by our Holy Archdiocese in Victoria. This year’s upcoming, “Christmas Carols” event will definitely be poorer without his presence and his decisive contribution to its preparation.
We express our sincere condolences to his wife, children and all the relatives and friends of the late Mr. Stelios Tsiolas, and we pray for God to rest his soul in the tents of the holy and righteous.
