Feast Day program for the Parish of Saint Dimitrios, Moonee Ponds

Next Thursday, 26 October 2023, on the feast day of Saint Dimitrios the Myrrh-flowing, the Parish of Saint Dimitrios in the Archdiocesan District of Northcote, in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne (1 Gladstone St, Moonee Ponds), celebrates according to the festive program below:

Tuesday, 24 October – at 6.30pm

The Service of Holy Unction (Anointing with Holy Oil)

Wednesday, 25 October – at 7:00pm

Great Hierarchical Vespers

Thursday, 26 October (Feast Day) – at 7.30am

Matins, Hierarchical Divine Liturgy with the Procession of the relics of Saint Dimitrios

Friday, 27 October (Feast of the Holy Protection of the Theotokos) – from 6.30pm  – midnight

Evening Vigil – Vespers with Artoklasia, Matins, Divine Liturgy, Memorial Service and Doxology for Greek National Day – OHI Day

Sunday, 29 October – at 7.30am

Matins and Divine Liturgy

After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Annual “Moonee Valley Greek Fest” will take place in the courtyard of the Church

The above-mentioned services will be presided over by His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Northcote, representing His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.

The Parish of Saint Dimitrios Moonee Ponds extends an invitation to all to come participate and join in the celebrations for the feast day.
