Baptisms of both young and old in Tanzania

The light of Orthodoxy, with God’s grace, is being spread throughout the entire area of the Holy Diocese of Arusha and Central Tanzania.

From one end to the other, in cities and villages, the catechism continues with undiminished zeal, since new communities of people constantly ask to come to know the Orthodox faith. At the same time, the Orthodox families, slowly getting to know the traditions of our Church, baptise their children in infancy, so that they grow up in the Church participating in the Holy Sacraments.

A new group of catechumens, along with some infants and small children, received the sacrament of Holy Baptism from His Grace Bishop Agathonikos of Arusha and Central Tanzania at the Church of the Annunciation of Our Lady, in Arusha.

It is everyone’s prayer for the newly baptised brothers and sisters, that the grace of Holy Baptism will become a bright marker of good works throughout their entire lives.
