Galata School: The New Cultural Centre of Romiosyni in Constantinople

On Tuesday, May 23, the opening of the Cultural Centre of Romiosyni of the City of Constantinople, which is the renovated Galata School, took place.

The grand opening included an exhibition of ecclesiastical relics and a painting exhibition entitled “Aziz İstanbul”, on the occasion of the completion of the renovation works of the Galata Municipal School, undertaken by the Athanasios & Marina Martinou Foundation. The event was co-organized by the Vehbi Koç Foundation and Galata Urban School.

The opening took place with the esteemed presence of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Attended: Hierarchs of the Throne, the couple Athanasios and Marina Martinou, Consul General of Greece Georgina Soultanopoulou, Consul Danais Vassilaki and selected guests from Greece, Turkey and the Omogeneia of the city.
