“Koukouzelis by Candlelight”: Concert by “Melisma Ensemble” on the 7 May in Kogarah, Sydney
On Sunday evening the 7th of May 2023, the male chant choir of Melisma Ensemble under the direction of Mr. Dimitri Koubaroulis will be presenting Koukouzelis’ 45 min masterpiece «Εξομολογήσομαί Σοι Κύριε» at the Holy Church of the Resurrection of Christ, in Kogarah, Sydney.
The performance will momentarily transport audiences to late Byzantium, under the light of candles. The evening will showcase the magnificent weaving of melody, echos and ecclesiastic poetry that Koukouzelis became renowned for.
Entry is by donation to the the Philoptochos of the parish.
