Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Chalkida welcomed to Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi

His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Chalkida, was welcomed on Thursday at the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi by the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the venerable Mount Athos monastery, and monks of the Vatopedi brotherhood.

His Eminence arrived at Vatopedi on the occasion of the feast day of St. John Chrysostom, as based on the Julian calendar.

The memory of the saint is venerated in a festal manner at the Holy and Great Monastery.

In arriving at the centuries-old monastery, His Eminence, on the occasion of his name-day, Translated the Honorable Head of St. Parthenios of Lampsakos for the blessing and Divine Worship by Vatopedi Elders.

Metropolitan Chrysostomos was accompanied by clerics of the Metropolis.
