“Places of captivity and refugees” event in Adelaide on 13 November
With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, in the series of events that the Holy Archdiocese of Australia organises for the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe, an event will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., at the Parish of St Panteleimon, Glenelg North, on the theme of “Places of captivity and refugees”.
The event includes speeches, Asia Minor songs performed by a choir, readings from diaries of refugees, and documentary images.
Everyone is invited to participate in this free event so as to honour our ancestors and keep alive the memory of their sacrifices.
