The venerable relic of the head of St. Gregory of Nyssa conveyed to Nea Ionia Metropolitan Cathedral
The Venerable Head of St. Gregory of Nyssa was conveyed on Monday, 31 October, to the celebrating Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Unmercenaries, Cosmas and Damian, in the west Athens municipality of Nea Ionia, for veneration by the clergy and faithful.
The Ecumenical Patriarchate’s Metropolitan of Aneon, His Eminence Makarios, officiated at a festal Vespers, co-officiated by the Archimandrite Spiridon, the Abbot of the historic Holy Monastery of Hozoviotissa, on the Aegean Island of Amorgos.
The Holy Relic will remain at the cathedral until Wednesday.
