Northcote: Commemoration of the anniversary of ‘OXI Day’ and Greek Festival on the 30 October
On Sunday, 30 October 2022, the anniversary of ‘OXI Day’ will be officially celebrated at the Archdiocesan District of Northcote, Victoria.
On the morning of the 30 October, from 7:30am, at the Holy Monastery of “Axion Esti”, the Divine Liturgy will take place and will be followed by commemorative Doxology for the Greek National Anniversary and the service of laying of wreaths.
At 10:00am, the annual Greek festival will begin, which will include food and drinks, activities for children, as well as live Greek music and traditional dances from local dance groups.
The Holy Archdiocese of Australia and the Intercommunity Council of Victoria invite everyone to take part in the events of remembrance and honour for the Heroes of 1940, as well as the Greek festival.
