Visit of the Consuls General of Greece, Croatia and Malta to the Holy Archdiocese of Australia

On Friday, 23 September 2022, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia received, at the central offices of the Holy Archdiocese in Sydney, the visit of the Consuls General of Greece, Mr. Christos Karras, of Croatia, Mr. Ivica Glasnovic and of Malta, Mr. Lawrence Buhagiar.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the Chancellor of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Throne, The Very Rev. Father Christophoros Krikelis, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios and the three diplomats in the Australian megalopolis held a constructive discussion around issues of common interest.

At the centre of the discussion was, among other things, the issue of the ongoing war in Ukraine, about which all those present expressed their concern and disapproval, as well as the expectation that peace will prevail as soon as possible.
