Patriarch of Alexandria Theodoros II again condemns ‘intrusion’ of Russian Church in Africa
The Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, His Most Divine Beatitude Theodoros II, on Monday referred to what he charged as the “predatory and disrespectful” conduct of the Russian Church, as well as the “…seizure of parish communities of native Orthodox Christians” in Africa.
His Most Divine Beatitude also cited what he referred to a temptation to bribe priests, in a statement included in an encyclical issued on Monday, and addressed to the Metropolitans and the Bishops of the Alexandrian Throne.
