62 new Covid-19 deaths in NSW and VIC
Significantly increased is the number of deaths of patients with Covid-19 recorded in the last twenty-four hours in the two largest States of Australia, both NSW and VIC.
Specifically, Victoria and New South Wales recorded a total of 62 deaths – the first time over 60 in a long time.
In Victoria, the new victims of the pandemic amount to 37.
A total of 875 patients are being treated in State hospitals, of which 46 are in Intensive Care and 7 are intubated.
The cases of the last twenty-four hours in the state of Victoria are 14,312.
Another 25 patients sadly passed away in New South Wales.
The total hospitalisations are recorded at 2,210, with 55 patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
The new positive Covid-19 cases in NSW amount to 13,829.
