Εnglish service at the Church of Saint George Hobart for the feast day of Saint Dionysios of Zakynthos
With the Blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis visited Tasmania and celebrated the Divine Liturgy in English for the feast of St Dionysios of Zakynthos.
Assisting His Grace were Reverend Father Dimitrios Katsis and Reverend Father Eirinaios Kiokas.
In his sermon His Grace Bishop Bartholomew spoke about the life of St Dionysios, a man who teaches us how to love and show repentance.
In conclusion, His Grace on behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia wished the clergy and laity of Hobart a blessed and Merry Christmas.
In turn, Parish Priest Father Eirinaios thanked His Grace for honouring the church of St George with his presence. Father Eirinaios also thanked His Grace for all his efforts the last few years in building a bridge between the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and the people of Tasmania.
