The memory of Saints Constantine and Helen celebrated at the Church of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens

On Tuesday, 21 May 2024, at the Church of Saint Nicholas, of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, on the occasion of the feast day of the Equal of the Apostles Emperor Constantine with his Mother Helen, a Poly-Hierarchical Divine Liturgy took place, presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, Director of the Representative Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, and was concelebrated by the newly elected Metropolitan Constantine of Denver, who also celebrated his name day.

Also present for the Divine Liturgy was a group of students from the Theological School of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, with their professor Mr. Stavros Giagazoglou.

A copy of the icon of Panagia Gerontissa from the Pantokrator Monastery of Mount Athos was displayed in the Church for veneration by the faithful.

After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the theology students visited the Representative Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, where the Director, Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, showed them around the premises and spoke to them about the mission and work of the Office, as well as about the important role of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
