Visit of the new Consul General of Greece in Adelaide to His Grace Bishop Silouan of Adelaide

On Monday 26 August 2024, the new Consul General of Greece in Adelaide, Mrs Alexandra Theodoropoulos, visited His Grace Bishop Silouan of Adelaide, accompanied by her son Jason, and Father Charalampos Koutantos who has been appointed as a teacher in Adelaide by the Ministry of Education of Greece.

The new Consul General received a warm welcome from His Grace on behalf of our Father and Primate, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia. Mrs Theodoropoulos was guided through the Archiepiscopal Church of St Sophia (The Holy Wisdom of God) and the offices of the Diocese of Adelaide.

The Diocese of Adelaide offered lunch to the distinguished guests after which His Grace received the Honourable Consul General in his office where they discussed matters of common care and concern. His Grace informed Mrs Theodoropoulos about the diverse ecclesiastical, social, philanthropic, educational, cultural, missionary work of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia.

His Grace did not fail to offer Mrs Theodoropoulos a gift of welcome on behalf of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios while wishing that her tenure be, with God’s grace, fruitful and beneficial for all of Hellenism in South Australia.
