Visit of a delegation of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to Rome for the feast of Saints Peter and Paul

As part of the traditional exchange of delegations for the celebration of the respective patron saints — Peter and Paul on 29 June in Rome and Saint Andrew on 30 November in Constantinople — a delegation from the Ecumenical Patriarchate will visit Rome from 27 to 29 June 2025.
The delegation will be led by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, president of the Ecumenical Patriarchate’s Synodal Commission for relations with the Roman Catholic Church. He will be accompanied by Fathers Aetios and Ieronymos.
On Saturday, 28 June, the delegation will be received in audience by Pope Leo XIV and will hold the customary talks with the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity. On Sunday, 29 June, the delegation will attend the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Pope Leo XIV.
