Trisagion conducted by Bishop Timotheos of Assos at the grave of the Late Metropolitan Damaskinos of Kydonia

His Grace Bishop Timotheos of Assos, Assistant Bishop of His Eminence Metropolitan Iakovos of Mexico, paid homage at the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegic Monastery of the Holy Trinity of Tzagarolon and, subsequently, conducted a Trisagion memorial service at the grave of the Late Metropolitan Damaskinos of Kydonia and Apokoronas, who is located in the courtyard of the Monastery.

His Grace Bishop Timotheos, who was accompanied by His Eminence Metropolitan Prodromos of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, as he is a guest of the Holy Metropolis of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, was welcomed by His Eminence Metropolitan Amphilochios of Kissamos and Selino, together with the Abbot of the Holy Patriarchal Monastery of the Holy Trinity, Archimandrite Amphilochios Papagiannakis, and the Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolis of Kydonia and Apokoronas, Archimandrite Fr. Nikephoros Eikosidekas, and the Brotherhood of the Monastery.

His Grace Bishop Timotheos of Assos, expressed his gratitude to the late Hierarch, Metropolitan Damaskinos, as he said, “he was a valuable helper and companion in the work of the Mission and greatly supported the Mission”, mentioning the benefactions of the late Hierarch to the Mission in the Holy Metropolis of Mexico.

After the trisagion, the Brotherhood of the Monastery provided traditional monastic hospitality to the Hierarchs of our Church, where His Grace Bishop Timotheos of Assos, had the opportunity to refer to and develop the work of the Mission in the Holy Metropolis of Mexico, as well as the challenges and opportunities of Orthodoxy.
