The Syriac Catholic Patriarch Mar Ignatius Youssef III Younan at the Ecumenical Patriarchate
The Syriac Catholic Patriarch Mar Ignatius Youssef III Younan visited the Ecumenical Patriarchate yesterday, Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from Beirut, accompanied by Hierarchs and clergy of his Church, as well as his lay associates.
The Syriac Patriarch was warmly welcomed by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and had the opportunity to discuss issues of mutual interest. Geron Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, Bishop Paisios of Xanthoupolis, Protosyncellus Theodoros, and Ecclesiarch Aetios, attended the meeting, which took place in the Throne Room.
Previously, the Ecumenical Patriarch and his guest had prayed at the Patriarchal Church.
