The Sunday of the Blind Man at the Ecumenical Patriarchate

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was present joined in prayer from the Holy Sanctuary of the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George, during the Divine Liturgy, which was celebrated on the Sunday of the Blind Man, 25 May 2025, and was officiated by His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America.
Also present for the Divine Liturgy were His Eminence Archbishop Elia of Helsinki and All Finland, Their Eminences, Metropolitan Joseph of Buenos Aires and Metropolitan Theodoros of Seleucia, Their Graces, Bishop Irinaios of Tropaion and Bishop Meletios of Zila, Assistant Bishops of the Holy Metropolis of Buenos Aired, Roman Catholic Bishop of Helsinki the Most Rev. Raimo Goyarrola, clergy, Archons of the Great Church of Christ, a group of Teachers and graduates from the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Boston, a group of Orthodox, Roman Catholic and Protestant pilgrims from Finland, and a multitude of believers from Constantinople and abroad.

After the Dismissal, His All-Holiness warmly welcomed the pilgrims from abroad, especially the groups from Finland and the USA, and on the occasion of this year’s 1700th anniversary of the convening of the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea of Bithynia, he referred to the great importance it has for all Christians.
