The Prime Minister of Montenegro visits the Ecumenical Patriarchate

On Friday afternoon, 27 October 2023, the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Mr. Dritan Abazović, paid an official visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

In the absence of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew who is currently in Imbros, according to his sacred order, the Prime Minister was welcomed by His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria, who informed him about the initiatives and the ministry of the Holy and Great Church of Christ, and offered to Prime Minister Abazović and his associates commemorative gifts, on behalf of His All-Holiness.

The Prime Minister of Montenegro was welcomed at the Propylaea (entrance gate) of the Patriarchate by the Grand Ecclesiarch Archimandrite Aetios, Director of the Personal Patriarchal Office, and clerics of the Patriarchal Court, and then the Patriarchal Deacon Father Ieronymos Sotirelis guided him to the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George, where he informed the Prime Minister about the history and the sacred relics that are kept within.
