The Patriarchate of Alexandria elected new Metropolitans and Bishops

The Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria elected new Metropolitans and Bishops today, January 12, 2022.

Specifically, the Patriarchal Vicar of Alexandria, Metropolitan Narcissus of Naucratis, took the position of the Metropolitan of Pelusium, based in Port Said.

In his position, Metropolitan Panteleimon of Brazzaville and Gabon was elected as the new Metropolitan of Naucratis, assuming also the position of Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod.

Metropolitan of Kampala was elected Metropolitan Ieronymos of Bukomba.

Metropolitan of Kinsasa was elected Metropolitan Theodosius of Kananga.

Archimandrite Chariton Musungai was elected Metropolitan of Kananga.

Bishop Silvester of Gulu was elected Bishop of Ginja and Eastern Uganda.

Archimandrite Chrysostomos Maidonis was elected Bishop of Bukomba.

Archimandrite Nektarios Kabouye was elected Bishop of Gulu.

Archimandrite Themistoklis Adamopoulos was elected Bishop of Nikopolis.

By the side of the Metropolitan of Katanga, Archimandrite Kosmas Thasitis was elected Bishop of Constantiani.

Finally, Archimandrite Nikodimos Totkas, until today Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, was elected Bishop of Neiloupolis.
