The Holy Metropolis of Stagoi and Meteora, with profound sorrow, announced the passing to the Lord of the emblematic Elder of Meteora, Archimandrite Isidoros Tsiatas, Former-Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Varlaam.

The funeral service will be held at the Catholicon of the Holy Monastery of Varlaam, on Thursday, 3 July 2025, at 6:30 p.m.

Elder Isidoros settled in Meteora around 1960, while in January 2022, due to old age, he submitted his resignation from the position of Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Varlaam of Meteora.
