The First Stanza of the Salutations to the Theotokos at the Phanar

On Friday, 7 March 2025, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiated from the Parathronion during the Service of the 1st Stanza of the Salutations to the Theotokos at the venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George at the Phanar.

Also present and joined in prayer were Archons of the Great Church of Christ, led by the President of their Brotherhood “Panagia Pammakaristos”, Archon Exarchos Mr. Athanasios Martinos, the Consul of Greece Mr. Theophilos Georgakis, on behalf of the Consul General, and a multitude of believers from Constantinople and pilgrims from abroad, including many students with their teachers from various schools in Greece.

The holy sermon was preached by Archimandrite Kaisarios Chronis, Archivist of the Patriarchate.

On the morning of the same day, His All-Holiness officiated at the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Precious Gifts.
