The Feast of the Leave-taking of Pascha at the Patriarchate of Jerusalem

On Wednesday, 15th/28th May 2025, the Patriarchate celebrated the Feast of the Leave-taking of Pascha, with the hymns of Pascha being chanted, apart from the Scriptural Readings.
For this feast, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the morning at the Most Holy Church of the Resurrection, presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of Lydda, with concelebrating Hieromonks of the Holy Sepulchre Brotherhood, among whom were the newly ordained Presbyters Simeon and Dositheos, and Hierodeacon Prodromos. The chanting was led by the chief cantor Deacon Efstathios, together with students of the Patriarchal School of Zion, and attended by local faithful and pilgrims.
During the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude and the Patriarchal Entourage went in reverence to the Holy Sepulchre and the Horrific Golgotha. After the festal Divine Liturgy of the Leave-taking of Pascha, a service was also held in the monastic Church of Saints Constantine and Helen.
At the Dismissal, the Hierarchical entourage returned to the Patriarchate and offered their respects to His Beatitude.
