The Feast of the Ascension of the Lord at the Church of Saint Nicholas of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, in Athens

On Thursday, 29 May 2025, on the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, His Grace Bishop Ambrosios of Argyroupolis, Auxiliary Bishop of the Holy Metropolis of Germany, liturgised at the Church of Saint Nicholas of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens.

The Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne Father Eleftherios Chrysochoos, Secretary of the Representation Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, and the Protopresbyter Father Antonios Frangos, Parish Priest of the Church, and the Deacon Fr. Victor, also liturgised. His Grace spoke inspiringly about the meaning of the feast, during the chanting of the Communion Hymn.

Before the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, Fr. Eleftherios introduced the visiting Hierarch to the congregation, welcoming him on behalf of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, and offered him the anniversary memorabilia for the completion of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas.
