The Feast of Panagia Pafsolipi was celebrated at the Theological School of Halki

The Synaxis of Panagia Pafsolipi (Greek: the Virgin Mary who dispels grief and brings joy), whose holy icon is kept in the church of the Theological School of Halki, was celebrated on Thursday, 31 August  2023.

His Eminence Metropolitan Andreas of Forty Churches presided over the Orthros and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.

The Abbot of the Holy Trinity Monastery, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, believers from the Princes’ Islands and Constantinople, as well as groups of pilgrims from various regions of Greece and Cyprus, also attended the service.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, a reception followed at the Great Synodikon of the School, during which the Abbot, His Grace Bishop Kassianos addressed the faithful, while Metropolitan Andreas of Forty Churches briefly referred to the feast of the Virgin Mary. Then, a luncheon followed which was blessed by Metropolitan Andreas.
