The Feast Day of Saint Solomone at the Phanar

On Thursday, 1 August 2024, the feast day of Saint Solomone (The mother of the seven holy Maccabee martyrs) was celebrated at the venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George in the Phanar, in which her Holy Relics are kept within, and were brought out and placed on the soleas for veneration by the faithful.

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was present and joined in prayer from the holy altar during the Divine Liturgy, which was presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoros of Seleucia.

At the Vespers of the Feast Day, on Wednesday afternoon, 31 July, Metropolitan Theodoros of Seleucia also officiated.
