The Deputy Leader of the CHP party visits the Ecumenical Patriarch

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who is visiting his birthplace of Imbros, received on Friday, 4 July 2025, at the headquarters of the Holy Metropolis of Imbros, the visit of Mr. Gökan Zeybek, Deputy Chairman of the CHP party, responsible for Local Government, accompanied by the Mayor of Imbros and many other party officials.

During their cordial meeting, which lasted more than an hour, they discussed various issues of mutual interest. Mr. Zeybek expressed, on the one hand, the sympathy of all members of the delegation for the passing of the late Metropolitan Kyrillos of Moschonnisia, and, on the other hand, his delegation’s appreciation for the Greek Community of the country and its interest in the problems that concern it.

The meeting was also attended by His Eminence Metropolitan Kyrillos of Imbros and Tenedos, who, together with the Patriarch, gave the distinguished visitor an honorary welcome from the headquarters of the Holy Metropolis.
