The celebration of 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea at the Church of All Saints in Munich

From the afternoon of 31 May 2025, Munich will host the Icon of the First Ecumenical Council of the Episcopal Conference in Germany, with a series of celebratory events for the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea.
After the reception of the icon, a solemn Vespers was celebrated at the Church of All Saints in Munich, followed by a reception.
Attending were Hierarchs of the Episcopal Conference, as well as representatives of the Christian churches in Munich and the local community, led by the Cardinal of Munich, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, Archbishop of Munich and Freising, and the Evangelical Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria, Germany, Christian Kopp.
On Sunday, 1 June, the day where the church commemorates the Holy 318 God-bearing Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea, a pan-Orthodox hierarchal Divine Liturgy was celebrated with the hierarchical members of the Episcopal Assembly, and a multitude of priests from various jurisdictions.
In the afternoon of the same day, His Eminence Metropolitan Avgoustinos of Germany, President of the Episcopal Conference, declared the opening of the international three-day conference of the Department of Orthodox Theology at the University of Munich and the Association of Orthodox Theologians.
