The Archbishop of Cyprus visits the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Seminara in Calabria
The Primate of the Church of Cyprus, His Beatitude Archbishop Georgios, paid a visit to the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Saints Elias the Younger and Philaret the Gardener, in the town of Seminara in Calabria, Italy.
The historic, as it was described, visit of the Archbishop of Cyprus to the Monastery of Seminara is part of a pilgrimage, together with faithful believers from Cyprus, to Southern Italy.
His Beatitude Archbishop Georgios signed the Holy Gospel in purple ink, a privilege granted by Emperor Justinian to the Primate of the Church of Cyprus.
Before leaving, His Beatitude wanted to bless the Orthodox people of Calabria.
