Sydney: ‘ELPIS Foundation’ Inaugural Fundraising event on Sunday 16 February

ELPIS Foundation, an initiative of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios ofAustralia, to support members of the community impacted by drug and alcohol addiction, will be holding its inaugural fundraiser this Sunday, 16 February at All Saints Grammar Primary School in Belmore.

Father Angelo Alifierakis, was appointed as Gladesville’s St Andrew Greek Orthodox Church Parish Priest, to oversee ELPIS after it was established in 2020. He was previously the CEO of ESTIA Foundation, another charity established by the Archdiocese to provide disability support services and accommodation

ELPIS activities include providing: in-house short stay residential rehabilitation programs; counselling and treatment programs; and drug and alcohol withdrawal management services

Sunday’s fundraising event will feature a performance by Stephanos Pelekanis, a traditional Greek and Byzantine singer from Cyprus

Tickets are $50 for adults and $35 for seniors/children. Food and drinks are not included and all proceeds will go directly to the ELPIS Foundation
