Patriarch of Alexandria reaffirmed support for Sinai Monastery in call with Archbishop Damianos of Sinai

On the morning of Friday, 30 May 2025, His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, had a telephone conversation with His Eminence Archbishop Damianos of Sinai, Pharan, and Raithu.

During the call, he was informed of the recent developments concerning the Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine and assured His Eminence that the ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria will always stand as a supporter and ally of the historic Monastery, the Archbishop, and the Brotherhood.

At the same time, he expressed his confidence in the political and governmental authorities of Egypt, a sentiment also affirmed by the official statement of the Presidency of the Republic.
