Metropolitan Panteleimon of Nafkratis visits the Ecumenical Patriarch

On Friday, 7 October 2022, His Eminence Metropolitan Panteleimon of Nafkratis, Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, had a meeting with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the seat of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople.

During the meeting, His Eminence expressed his filial love and respect for the Church of the First Throne of Constantinople and His All-Holiness the Patriarch, while conveying the heartfelt wishes and friendly feelings of His Beatitude the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa Theodore II to His All-Holiness and the Ecumenical Throne.

His All-Holiness thanked The Metropolitan of Nafkratis for the pilgrimage visit to the martyred Phanar, speaking with heartfelt words about the ongoing missionary and humanitarian work of the Alexandrian Church in Africa,  while he praised the sacrificial offering of His Beatitude Patriarch Theodore II and his dedicated coworkers, clergy and laity, to the faithful peoples of the African land. The meeting ended with an exchange of commemorative gifts.
