Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv to visit Phanar on the Sunday of Orthodoxy
His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine will visit the Phanar, for the celebration of the Sunday of Orthodoxy. His Beatitude will preside at the Great Vespers on Saturday, at the Patriarchal Church of Saint George, while on Sunday he will concelebrate with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, during the Patriarchal and Synodal Divine Liturgy.
The relevant press release states the following:
It is announced that, on the great feast of the Sunday of Orthodoxy, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, will officiate in the Holy Patriarchal Church, during Great Vespers on Saturday, 8 March 2025, at 4 p.m.
Subsequently, His All-Holiness the Patriarch will confer on Mr. Spyridon Divanis, from Athens, the title of Archon of the Holy Great Church of Christ.
The following day, Sunday, the 9th of the same month, His All-Holiness will preside over the established Patriarchal and Synodal Divine Liturgy, in concelebration with His Beatitude.
After the dismissal, the customary Trisagion memorial service will be celebrated for the repose of the souls of those who fought for our Orthodox faith and were perfected in it, and the procession of the holy icons will follow by the Patriarch, His Beatitude, and the holy Hierarchs who will be concelebrating with them.
