Melbourne: The Feast Day of Pentecost at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Richmond
On Saturday, 22 June 2024, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Melbourne. visited the Church of the Holy Trinity, in the suburb of Richmond, and officiated during the Great Vespers on the occasion of the Feast of Pentecost, and was joined by the Parish Priest, Father Emmanuel Ioannidis, and other clergymen from the Archdiocesan District of Melbourne.
At the end of the Vespers, His Grace conveyed to the faithful the blessings, love and wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia. His Grace also spoke eloquently to them about the Holy Spirit and explained that the same Spirit that descended on the Apostles at Pentecost continues to indwell the Church, uniting, guiding and sanctifying us as God’s people.
On Sunday of Pentecost, 23 June 2024, at the same Parish, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos officiated during Matins and presided over the Divine Liturgy, and then officiated at the Kneeling Vespers Service of the Holy Spirit, assisted by Fr. Emmanuel Ioannidis. After the reading of the prayers of kneeling, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis conveyed to the congregation a message from His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, blessing this joyous day.
