Melbourne: Feast Day of the Church of Saint Haralambos, Templestowe

The parish of St. Haralambos in Templestowe marked the Patronal Feast of their beloved patron saint with services on Sunday, February 9th, and Monday, February 10th. His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne presided over the celebrations, which included Vespers, Matins, and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.
On Sunday evening, the faithful gathered for the Vesperal service, with His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne and several priests from the Diocese of Melbourne leading the prayers. The atmosphere was one of devotion as the congregation prepared for the feast day.
The next morning, the faithful attended Matins and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy. His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne delivered a sermon on the life and witness of St. Haralambos, highlighting the saint’s enduring faith and sacrifice. His Grace also encouraged the faithful to live with the same devotion and courage in their daily lives.
The Divine Liturgy was attended by hundreds of parishioners, who participated in the sacrament of Holy Communion. The service was assisted by priests from across the diocese, reflecting the unity and brotherhood of the clergy within the Diocese of Melbourne.

Following the Divine Liturgy, a festive meal was held in the parish hall, where the faithful had the opportunity for fellowship and share in the joy of the occasion. His Grace Bishop Kyriakos conveyed to all the faithful the wishes and blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, and expressed his gratitude to the parishioners for their dedication to the faith and encouraged them to continue living according to the example of St. Haralambos.
