Melbourne: End of Year concert for the Saint Andrew’s Campus of The Aetolian College in Burwood

On Friday, 6 December 2024, Saint Andrew’s Campus of The Aetolian College in Burwood, organised its annual End of Year Concert celebration to mark the end of the academic year. The celebration took place in the packed hall of the Parish of St. Andrew, Forrest Hill, with the honorary presence of His Grace Bishop of Kyriakos of Melbourne, who represented His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.

It was an unforgettable evening, full of joy and emotion, with students of all grades showcasing their talents and creativity, singing modern and traditional Greek songs, reciting Christmas poems and dancing traditional Greek dances. Also participating were two students who welcomed His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Youth Parade in Melbourne last October, during the Apostolic Visit of His All-Holiness to Australia.

His Grace offered icons and presented awards to the VCE class, while praising the students for their dedication and perseverance in preserving the Greek Language.

Also, His Grace offered a small gift to each child as a blessing and conveyed the wishes and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, wishing all those present a blessed Christmas.

Also present at the event were the Parish Priest of the Parish of Saint Andrew Forrest Hill, Fr. Kyprianos Nerouppos, and the Director of the school campus, Mrs. Eleni Lambris.
