Melbourne: Agiasmos Blessing Service for the beginning of Byzantine Music School of Australia School Year

On Tuesday, 7 February 2023, at the Greek Orthodox Parish of Saint Catherine, Malvern East, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, Archiepiscopal Vicar of the District of Melbourne, conducted the Agiasmos blessing service for the beginning of the 2023 school year for the Byzantine Music School of Australia in the Melbourne District.

Joining His Grace Bishop Kyriakos at the Agiasmos service was, Fr George Adamakis, Fr Nicholas Georgiou and Fr Kyprianos Nerouppos.

His Grace Bishop Kyriakos emphasised to the students the great importance of their role within the liturgical life of the church and encouraged all those learning this sacred ministry to offer their time and energy towards the Glory of Christ’s Church, whilst also noting the importance of the next generation in cultivating this sacred task within the Holy Archdiocese of Australia for many years to come.

Following the service, the blessed evening was completed by light refreshments.
