Holy Diocese of Perth: Sunday of the Prodigal Son
On the second Sunday of the Triodion, the Sunday of the Prodigal Son, 16th of February 2025, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Perth officiated at the Matins and presided over the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at the Church of Sts Constantine and Helene.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace conducted a memorial service for the repose of the soul of the late Father Nicolaos Bozikis, on the occasion of the completion of one year since his departure to the Lord.
Following the memorial service His Grace also conducted the Agiasmo Service (blessing of the water) to mark the beginning of the new year for the various catechetical and social activities conducted weekly at the Church of Sts Constantine and Helene.
Every week, under the guidance of His Grace, the Church of Sts Constantine and Helene holds a Mother’s Group on Monday mornings, a Bible fellowship called “Orthodox Parea” on a Wednesday evening and Sunday School for Primary and High School aged children every Sunday after Holy Communion.
