Holy Diocese of Perth: Festal Celebrations at the Church of Sts Constantine and Helene

With vibrant community spirit and heartfelt devotion, the Parish of Sts Constantine and Helene in the Holy Diocese of Perth joyfully continued its celebrations in honour of its patron saints on Sunday, 25 May 2025.
The day commenced with the Matins and Divine Liturgy for the Sunday of the Blind Man, beautifully chanted by the church choir. Following the Liturgy, a procession with the icon of the saints took place around the church, concluding with the traditional Blessing of the Five Loaves (Artoklasia).
After the Divine Liturgy, the annual Feast Day Luncheon was held in the Upper Hall of the Hellenic Community Centre, located adjacent to the church. The event, hosted by the Parish of Sts Constantine and Helene in collaboration with the Hellenic Community of WA, welcomed over 300 guests in honour of the saints.

Among the distinguished attendees were the Consul of Greece in Perth, Ms Eleni Georgopoulou, along with her family, representatives from the Hellenic Community of WA, the Castellorizian Association of WA, and staff and students from St Andrew’s Grammar.
During the Luncheon, guests were treated to delightful performances of traditional Greek dances by children from the Pontian Brotherhood of St George WA and the Greek Culture and Language Institute of Evangelismos.
The blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Perth were warmly conveyed to all in attendance.
