Holy Diocese of Chora: The Sunday of Thomas at the Parish of the Transfiguration of Our Lord, Thomastown

The Parish of the Transfiguration of Our Lord in Thomastown, in the Holy Diocese of Chora, celebrated the Sunday of Thomas with a series of events that included a memorial service for the repose of the souls of the fallen ANZACs who fought in Greece during World War II.
The day began with the “dawn ceremony”, which was organised by the Coordinating Council for the Memory of the Battle of Crete and the Rest of Greece in collaboration with the Parish of the Transfiguration of Our Lord. The ceremony was presided over by His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Chora, who performed the memorial service and laid wreaths in honour of the fallen. During the ceremony, His Grace read the official message of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, for the ANZAC Day commemoration, conveying his wishes.
The ceremony was attended by official guests, including Federal MP and Minister for Skills and Training The Hon. Andrew Giles MP and Victorian State MP and Minister for Climate Action, Energy and Resources Ms. Lily D’Ambrosio.
After the memorial service, the Divine Liturgy for the Sunday of Thomas was celebrated, presided over by His Grace Bishop Evmenios of Chora.
