Holy Diocese of Brisbane: Feast day of Saint Bartholomew and Name Day of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew

The Holy Diocese of Brisbane announces, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the celebrations for the great feast of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle.
With great joy we also celebrate the patronal feast day of His All-Holiness Archbishop of Constantinople, New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
On Tuesday, 10 June 2025, Hierarchical Vespers will take place at the Parish of St Paraskevi, Taigum, and will be presided over by His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane, with the participation of all the clergy of Brisbane and the Gold Coast, from 6.30pm. Dinner will be served afterwards.
On Wednesday, 11 June 2025, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Brisbane will officiate at the Matins service and will celebrate the Divine Liturgy with the participation of all the clergy of Brisbane and the Gold Coast at the Parish of the Dormition of Our Lady, Mt Gravatt, from 8.00am. A free luncheon will be served afterwards.
The Diocese of Brisbane invites the faithful to attend both services, asking that they pray for our beloved Ecumenical Patriarch,and that God grants our patriarch continued good health and strength to continue leading the flock towards Christ. Many years Master!
