Historian Maria Efthymiou visits the Community of Stavrodromi in Constantinople

On Tuesday, 11 February 2025, the members of the Community of Stavrodromi, in Constantinople, had the honour of welcoming at the Şişli Cemetery, which belongs to the Community, Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Athens, Maria Efthymiou, accompanied by Mr. Georgios Mamalos, Head of the Public Diplomacy Office at the Consulate General of Greece in Constantinople.

Ms. Efthymiou was hosted and given a tour by the priests of the Community through the churches of the cemetery, as well as among the graves of important personalities of the Nation, who bear the seal of the historical journey of the community.

Afterwards, they visited the Church of the Holy Trinity of Stavrodromi, where they were given a tour of the impressive Church, while the visit concluded with a symbolic and warm meal at the Holy Trinity Church soup kitchen.
