High School Boys Sunday School World Cup 2024

On Sunday 25 August 2024, over fifty High School boys from Sunday Schools across Sydney and Wollongong gathered to compete in the High School Boys Sunday School World Cup.

After beginning the day with prayer, the boys split into their teams and squared off against each other in a round robin style format.

The day culminated in the grand final between the Parishes of the Resurrection of our Lord Kogarah and the Parish of Holy Cross Wollongong. With nothing being able to separate the two teams in regular time, the match proceeded to a penalty shootout. Ultimately, Kogarah would emerge victorious and claim the title of the High School Boys Sunday School World Cup Champions of 2024!

We would like to express our thanks to all who attended, supported and took part. Ultimately, days like this are a reminder of the joy and enthusiasm that springs forth from true Christian fellowship and of the importance of the relationships formed in the Sunday Schools of our churches.
