Hierarchs of the Throne and pilgrims visit the Theological School of Halki

The Holy Theological School of Halki was visited on Saturday, 24 May 2025, by His Eminence Metropolitan Arsenios of Austria, with his Assistant, His Grace Bishop Maximos of Aristi, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Eisenstadt, The Most Rev. Ägidius Johann Zsifkovics, and numerous pilgrims, His Eminence Metropolitan Joseph of Buenos Aires, accompanied by his Assistant Bishops, as well as groups of pilgrims and Archons from the Holy Archdiocese of America, with Professors, graduates and final year students from the Theological School of the Holy Cross in Boston.

All the distinguished visitors were received by the Abbot, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, who welcomed them with warm words, expressed his sincere joy for their presence at the School, of which he explained its long history and significant contribution to the Church and theological literature, also referring to the efforts being made for its reopening.

Afterwards, the visitors were given a tour of the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, the classrooms, the historic Library and the other areas of the School, while they also took part in a meal which was offered in their honour.
