Greece: Wildfire erupts near Penteli Monastery

A wildfire broke out Wednesday afternoon in a forested area near the Penteli Monastery, north of Athens.

Firefighters deployed 40 personnel and 15 vehicles to tackle the blaze, supported by volunteers. Two aircraft and one helicopter are also assisting in firefighting efforts.

Water trucks from local authorities are helping to contain the fire.
