«Once in a Lifetime» | Music Documentary, 2009 | 00:00 (Athens time)

“Once in a Lifetime” is a multi-layered musical journey through the life of Greece’s greatest radio producer, the musical evolution of post-dictatorship Greece, the rock explosion of the 1960s, the music movements that emerged and were introduced to us through his radio show, as well as the social and political landscape that shaped modern Greek culture, The man we associate with an iconic voice decides to step away from the radio microphone for a moment and guide us through the musical stories of his life.

Through captivating narratives, archival material, and insightful details, Nicole Alexandropoulou delves into the personality and legacy of Giannis Petridis. From the streets of Zinonos, where he grew up, to Agia Sofia in Piraeus and Kypseli, where he spent his youth—from the endless highways of Los Angeles to the neighborhoods of San Francisco and the desert landscapes of Joshua Tree—his own storytelling unfolds his personal journey and remarkable career.
