The new abbot thanked His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, humbly accepting this high ministry. He also thanked His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain, to whom, as a sign of honour and gratitude, he offered an Archiepiscopal engolpion. Abbot Meletios also thanked His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, to whom he offered a commemorative gift, expressing gratitude for his presence and support. Finally, he thanked all the attending clergy and laity who travelled from Greece and America in order to participate in the spiritual joy of the Monastery.
